Setting Up Engines in IQAN Design Using TSC Channels
Integrating hydraulics, including engines, into your machine’s control system can both significantly improve machine performance and be relatively simple. Additionally, if your application has multiple engines, utilizing TSC channels, or “Torque Speed Control Channels,” allows you to set up and adjust all of them within the same IQAN program. This technique simplifies both your initial setup, as well as any adjustments or any necessary troubleshooting in the future.
In this video, we walk you through setting up a TSC channel, and highlight the key steps to take before you begin. First, you must contact the engine manufacturer’s technical source group to find out the J1939 source address. And then you must also ensure that multiplex throttle is enabled for the engine in order for it to receive CAN messages from the program.
