The Simplest Way to Decrease Electrical Wiring for Switch Panels

As the number of integrated electronics in heavy machinery continues to increase, our ability to consolidate electrical wiring is becoming more and more beneficial for OEMs. The simplest way to minimize the wiring footprint with your electronics is to embrace CAN controls, like programmable switch panels, to not only keep your harnessing small, but increase your ability to configure switch features like brightness, LED lighting and colors, and more.

In this video we take a more in depth look at CAN switch panels and how that programming appears in IQAN Design. With traditional switch panels, you would need multiple wiring for every individual switch. But CAN switch panels, no matter how large one may be, will only require a harness with 4 individual wires.
