Maintaining Control Consistency Across Machine Lines

Customer loyalty to a brand can be an incredibly powerful tool, and that’s especially true for heavy equipment operators. When an OEM launches a new machine or releases a new version within an existing machine line, customers will of course be interested in new features. But they will also naturally find comfort in the primary controls having a similar feel and function as that brand’s existing machines that they already use.

In this video, one of our account managers discusses a series of joystick and control consoles that we created for the towing industry. Each console had different size requirements and varying degrees of exposure to the elements, and they were designed accordingly. But the general look and controllability maintained a level of consistency across the different solutions to ensure operators felt comfortable moving between the different machines.
