K-02 Hydrostatic Transmission

A continuously variable transmission (CVT), also known as a shiftless transmission, single-speed transmission, stepless transmission can adjust seamlessly through a continuous range of effective gear ratios.

HST (hydrostatic transmission) is preferred over shifted gear transmission in various applications because of the stepless way in which HST’s speed ration can be changed.

Advanced modular drive technology, realized in hydrostatic variators for variable speed transmission, form the core of power split gearboxes. Compact units with a hollow shaft are available for mounting to conventional gearboxes in smaller machines. These compact units are used as fully hydrostatic systems with Power Take-Off (PTO) drive. With customer-specific developments, GS Global Resources along with our suppliers support the change from power shift to continuous variable transmission technology.
